Betty Louise Moore, a cherished soul whose vibrant essence touched the lives of so many, passed away on June 30, 2025, in Southaven, Mississippi. Born on October 1, 1928, in Lauderdale County, Tennessee, Betty filled her years with unwavering love, joy, and laughter.

A dedicated professional, she proudly retired as an accountant from CarQuest Distributors Warehouse, where her hard-headed determination shone through. Those who had the honor of knowing Betty will forever treasure the wonderful memories, such as the mischievous moments when she took her daughter Sharon on a daring adventure to toilet paper someone's yard. Her delightful spirit was also evident in her creative flair, especially when she lovingly designed prom dresses for her granddaughter Katrina during her high school years.

Betty was more than an accountant; she was a passionate and spirited individual. Her love for racing cars was legendary, often playfully challenging friends and family to races on her trusty walker. A true fan of stock car racing, she brought enthusiasm and excitement to this beloved pastime.

Beyond her personal hobbies and interests, Betty was a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Daughters of Nile, where she made lasting connections and shared her love for community service.

Her pride extended beyond her hobbies, as baking for friends was one of her proudest accomplishments. The warmth of her kitchen was a haven of sweet treats and cherished memories, where laughter and love enveloped all who entered.

Betty leaves behind a loving family that carries her spirit: her beloved daughter Sharon Johnson and son-in-law Marvin, along with her adored granddaughters Tamara Johnson Adams and her husband Ronnie, and Katrina Johnson, who will continue to honor her legacy. She is also survived by her dear nephew, Ronnie and his wife Lisa, who held her close in their hearts.

Betty is reunited in spirit with her beloved husband, Jimmy Moore, and her parents, Clifford and May (Brooks) Scott. She will also be warmly remembered alongside her sisters, Sue Utley and Bertha Evans, who preceded her.

As we celebrate the life of Betty Louise Moore, we remember her for the love she shared, the laughter she brought, and the indelible mark she left on our hearts. She will be profoundly missed yet fondly remembered, living on in the stories we share and the love we continue to nurture.
