Billy Mac Roberson, a beloved figure in his community, passed away peacefully in Southaven, MS, on April 14, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on October 10, 1937, in Batesville, MS, he lived a life filled with love, passion, and dedication, especially towards his family.
For over 40 years, Billy thrived as a Purchasing and Division Manager at Wurzburg Brothers, Inc., where his work ethic, determination, and commitment were evident to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. But beyond his career, it was his love for his family that truly defined him. He took immense pride in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, serving as a guiding light and role model. His proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly his children and their families, who brought him immeasurable joy and happiness.
Billy was a man of many talents and interests. He had a deep appreciation for nature and enjoyed birdwatching, fishing, and camping with family. He created lasting memories during these adventures, particularly with his love for cooking—who could forget the delicious times spent cooking a whole hog in the pit? A dedicated Scout Master, Billy trained a group of boys from Cub Scouts all the way to Eagle Scouts, imparting values that would shape them into admirable young men.
Always the life of the party, Billy cherished his time outdoors, having cook-outs with family and friends, sipping wine by the pool, and sharing laughter. His warm personality attracted a host of friends and family who adored him. Billy's infectious spirit left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.
He will be deeply missed by his life partner, Brenda Carter, and his children: Robin (Bob) Frazier, Rhea (Regina) Roberson, Charles Carter, Renee (Frankie) Monteith, Robin (John Daniel) Carter, and Courtney (Bryan) Wynn. His legacy will continue through his grandchildren: Robee (Amanda) Frazier, Jennifer (Mike) Reaume, Zach Frazier, Rusty (Shelby) Carter, and Kelsey (Jovanni Ri) Bishop, Jax Wynn, along with his great-grandchildren: Raine, Boe, Lily, Halle, Dallas, Remington, Kaleb, Everly, Oliver, Grace, Claire, Kylan, Lily Kaye, and Carter. He is also survived by his nephew, Lynn, as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Prentiss and Lelia Roberson; his wife, Joyce Roberson; grandchild, Drew Roberson; sister, Winnie Rhea; and uncle and aunt, Pete and Lillian Tubbs.
A visitation will be held on April 17, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at The Carter Memorial Chapel at Twin Oaks Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. His final resting place will be at Forest Hill Home & Memorial Park - Midtown, with a burial ceremony starting at 2:30 PM.
Billy Mac Roberson leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever resonate within the hearts of those he touched throughout his remarkable journey. His spirit will continue to shine brightly in the cherished memories he created with his family and friends.
