Brian Eugene Parbs

June 15, 1963 — September 12, 2025

Southaven, MS

Brian Eugene Parbs, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, left this world on September 12, 2025, following a courageous and prolonged battle with cancer. He was born on June 15, 1963, in California & graduated from Edison High School in Huntington Beach, California.

Brian was a man of incredible creativity. He embraced his artistic spirit through drawing and writing poetry, each piece reflecting his deep thought and imagination. His love of cooking conveyed not just his culinary skills but also his ability to nurture and bring people together around the dinner table.

The legacy that Brian leaves behind is one defined by the love he held for his family. His wife, Aretha Parbs, stood by him in all life's seasons, with their bond a testament to mutual respect and affection that many can only hope to achieve. Together, they raised a wonderful family: son, Christopher Parbs(Dallas) and daughters, Melissa Boyd(Lewis), Jennifer Solomon, Rachel Sanchez(Francisco), Abbey Simpson(Sam), and Hannah Parbs, each carrying forward the values and lessons imparted by their father.

Brian cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, Kate, Kobe, Sadie June, Aubrey Mae, Ellie, Peter, Joseph, and Evangeline. They were a source of great joy and fulfillment in his life.

Extended family members include his mother, Judy Dolan, and father, Chuck Tate. He also leaves behind his brothers Dave Parbs (Sharon), Terry Dolan, and Travis Dolan (Hope), as well as his sister Pam Douglas (David), and sister Shannon Bergeron (Corey).

As we gather to remember and celebrate the life of Brian Eugene Parbs, we hold in our hearts the memories of his laughter, and the unwavering love he freely shared. Brian will be missed deeply, but his spirit and impact will surely live on in the lives he touched.
