passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023, in Southaven, Mississippi at the age of 81 years old. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 12:00pm, followed by a Funeral service in his honor at 1:00pm at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 290 Goodman Road E. Southaven, MS, 38671. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 1663 Elvis Presley Blvd., Memphis, TN, 38106.
Carlton Smith Ashley was born on October 24, 1941, in Memphis, Tennessee to Mary Ruth Smith. Carlton was a member of Brookside Baptist Church for many years. Rather gardening, swimming or simply mowing the lawn being outdoors brought him a lot of joy. Carlton spent his working years as the proud owner of S & A Auto Parts.
Carlton leaves behind his loving Wife of 24 years Erma Ashley, 2 Children; Laura Easley (Ronnie) & Jason Brown (Olga) ,5 Grandchildren; Brad, Darren, Taylor, Anna & Caleb and 5 Great-Grandchildren.
Carlton was predeceased by his parents Carl Smith & Mary Ruth Smith, and his granddaughter, Emilye Brown.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Brookside Baptist Church
