Cathryn (Cathy) Marie Cowan, 58, of Olive Branch, Mississippi passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019 in Olive Branch, MS. Twin Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangement.
Cathy was born on October 9, 1961 in Modesto, California. She was a nurse practitioner; she dedicated her life to saving others. She has brought lives into the world as a delivery room nurse and worked for the VA. She also created an organization that took in veteran women to care for them. Cathy was an active member of 4-H and FFA. She had a deep love of horses and most animals. Most of all Cathy loved her children. She will be truly missed by those close to her.
Cathy leaves cherished memories to her three children, Janette McCracken; Ross (Hailey) Cowan; Kristen (Clay) Cooper; She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren; Cayden, Briana, Ryan, Kailey, Heidi, Piper, Gerry, Aaron, Garrett, Robert, Emmalynn; As well as her fiancé, Tom Scott; parents, Stan and Ellen Males; sister, Midge (Carl) Baker; 3 nephews, Brandon, Justin, and Michael Baker. As well as her two fur babies; Remy and Karma.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marissa Cowan; and husband of 13 years, Gerry Cowan.
