Charles Edward Cunningham, Jr.

August 24, 1939 — March 24, 2022

Charles Edward Cunningham, Jr., 82, of Horn Lake, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born in Booneville, MS on August 24, 1939 to the late Charles Edward and Reba (Shackleford) Cunningham, Sr.

Charles was a member of First Baptist Church of Horn Lake and was an electrical engineer building elevator systems.  He enjoyed producing videos and was a technology buff – many times having new technology before anyone else did.  He loved to travel, especially to Branson, MO, and was a huge Disney fan.  To him, family was everything and he didn’t miss a single event with his grandchildren.  He was a wonderful father and a perfect grandfather.

In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by two brothers, James Michael Cunningham and Paul Reed Cunningham.

Charles will be remembered by his beloved wife of 37 years, Christiane (Lechemia) Cunningham, children Suzanne McAninch (Bo), Leslie Lane (Danny), Amie Cunningham (Brendan), Carrie Rae Cunningham (Kynan), Nicole Monroe (Mike), and John Steiner (Lisa), 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sister Donna Steward, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Twin Oaks Funeral Home, 290 Goodman Road East, Southaven, from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm.  Burial will follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens.
