Christiane “Kris” Henriette Cunningham

Christiane “Kris” Henriette Cunningham, age 86, of Horn Lake, ran into the loving arms of Jesus on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Baptist DeSoto Hospital. She was born on December 1, 1936 in Bordeaux, France to the late Louis Pierre and Marie Yvonne (Routis) Lechemia.
Kris was a member of the Young At Heart Senior Group and Getwell Church and volunteered both in the community and with the Save A Life Care Center. She had attended business school in France and nursing school in the United States. She also taught English to the Hispanic community in Horn Lake. Her greatest joy and accomplishment was being a stay-at-home mom and raising her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Kris is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 37 years, Charles Cunningham and her daughter, Natalie Steiner.
Kris will be lovingly remembered by her children John Steiner (Lisa), Nicole Monroe (Mike), stepchildren Suzanne McAninch (Bo), Leslie Lane (Danny), Amy Cunningham (Brenden), and Carrie Cunningham (Kynan), grandchildren Justin, Melanie, Brooke, Brandon, Ivy, Taylor, Faith, Brett, Ethan, Erin, Lucinda, Iris, and Truvy, great-grandchildren Emme Rae, John Cotton, Eli, Austin, and Payton, and her siblings Ramonde Hernandez, Alain Lechemia, and Lili Lalo.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Twin Oaks Funeral Home from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm. Pallbearers will be John Steiner, Mike Monroe, Bo McAninch, Justin Steiner, Brandon McAninch, Ethan Monroe, Brett Steiner, and Jonathan Poe. Burial will follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens.
