With hearts full of sorrow and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Cierra Bella “CeeCee” Elder. Born on July 21, 2017, in Memphis, Tennessee, Cierra left this world unexpectedly on June 23, 2026, in Southaven, Mississippi, at just eight years old. Though her time on earth was far too brief, Cierra’s light touched everyone who knew her, leaving an everlasting imprint of joy, kindness, and laughter.
Known for her vibrant spirit and infectious enthusiasm, CeeCee was a beloved daughter to Summer and Josh McBryde, and a treasured little sister to Nevaeh, Jayda, Emmerson, and Dakota. She delighted in the company of her family, where her boundless energy and mischievous sense of humor shone brightly. CeeCee shared a special bond with her grandfather, James White, whose stories and affection she cherished deeply.
Cierra’s personality sparkled in every corner of her life. She was a princess at heart, yet possessed the grit to wrestle her older brother to the ground and, as her family fondly recalls, never hesitated to out-eat every member of the family at mealtime. She approached each day with a zest that inspired those around her. Whether she was creating new friendships or sharing stories from her day, it was CeeCee’s innate warmth and honesty that made her instantly lovable. Her best friend was nonverbal, and Cierra, always eager to connect, joyfully told her mother that she was happy to talk enough for both of them. Her gentle way of seeing the world and her desire to help everyone she met are remembered with love by all.
Creativity flowed through CeeCee’s life. Her art brought joy to her home, as she crafted jewelry and paper dolls modeled after her sisters, leaving them with handmade treasures to forever remember her sparkling imagination. These pieces are a testament to her thoughtfulness and the love she poured into little acts of kindness.
Cierra’s life, though short, was radiant with love and laughter—a testament to the impact one small soul can have on those around her. She has gone to join those who passed before her, including Nana Barbara Hines and Mamaw Sills, whose memories her family holds dear.
As her family continues to honor her memory, service times will be announced at a later date. Those who knew sweet CeeCee will forever carry her in their hearts, remembering the joy, artistry, and boundless love she generously gave. Her spirit, uncontainable and precious, lives on in the stories, smiles, and art she leaves behind.
Rest gently, Cierra Bella “CeeCee” Elder. Your light will never fade.
