Southaven, MS

Daniel Ray Turner, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away suddenly on December 31, 2023. He was born on April 15, 1979, in Greenville, TX to his loving mother Denise Peyton and his sister and brother Angelia Turner and Brian Turner. Daniel was a kind-hearted soul who lived life to the fullest and made every moment count.

From a young age, Daniel exhibited an infectious enthusiasm for life. He attended Horn Lake High School where he formed lifelong friendships. His warm and outgoing personality made him popular among his peers and teachers alike. Daniel saw the value in connecting with others and never met a stranger.

After completing his education, Daniel embarked on a career in the food and beverage service industry. Known for his ability to make any job fun, Daniel brightened up work environments with his playful nature and humorous antics. He possessed an extraordinary talent for making friends easily and was admired for his generous spirit.

Daniel's friends and family will always cherish the memories of his helpful nature and unwavering dependability. He was someone they could always count on during their times of need. Nicknamed "Looney" by those closest to him, he had a knack for bringing laughter wherever he went. His silly jokes and playful demeanor could light up a room instantaneously.

One of Daniel's proudest accomplishments was becoming a Mason as well as a Shriner. These affiliations brought him great joy and allowed him to contribute to charitable causes that were close to his heart. Daniel's selflessness extended beyond his immediate circle as he deeply cared about the well-being of others.

In his free time, Daniel enjoyed spending moments at the beach as it brought him inner peace like no other place could. Florida held a special place in his heart, providing solace from life's everyday challenges. It was here that he felt most complete and at ease.

Daniel leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his devoted mother Denise Peyton, loving sister Angelia Turner, caring brother Brian Turner, and his adoring niece and nephews: Amber (Adam) Sharp, Dawson Turner, Ethan Turner, Allison Turner, Legend Mills, Liam Sharp, Lucas Sharp, and Lochlan Sharp. His nephew Matthew Turner and uncle Dennis Peyton preceded him in death.
