Danny Wayne Talley, 69, of Como, MS, passed away on Tuesday December 18, 2018 at Baptist DeSoto Hospital, in Southaven, MS.

A funeral service will be offered for friends and family at Twin Oaks Funeral Home (290 Goodman Road East, Southaven, MS) from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 2, 2019, followed by a memorial service at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery (4000 Forest Hill-Irene, Memphis, Tennessee) at 2:00 P.M.

Danny was born on May 29, 1949, the son of Essie Mae and James Thomas Talley. He bravely served his military career in Vietnam. Danny surrounded himself with a large group of life long friends. He loved spending time camping and enjoying nature. His love for music and friends took him to many concerts throughout the mid south. Danny loved music of the 60’s and 70’s, and all creative arts. He spent decades creating beautiful hand tooled leather belts and purses and had a leather working business in midtown Memphis for a short time. He worked for Southwestern Wine and Liquor in Memphis for decades as a store merchandiser, and was known for creating amazing large scale visual displays and signs using various media.  His work was featured numerous times in local publications and local news broadcasts.  To this day his work can be seen around Memphis decades old. After retiring from Southwestern, he created his own sign business based in Como with the help his family. He was a consummate craftsman who never stopped exploring new mediums and created with a passion for detail and perfection in everything he did.

Danny leaves behind his mother Mrs. Essie Mae Hinton, two sons; Sean Talley and wife Heather and, Jacob Talley, two grandchildren; Kaden and Weiland Talley, brother; James Douglas Talley and wife Elizabeth, five sisters; Patricia Jo Talley Crenshaw and husband Russell, Marsha Faye Talley Ward and husband Richard, Nora Denise Talley Nelson and husband Brad, Tonia Regina Talley Massey and husband Larry, and, Tina Abagail Talley Keen and husband Eric, and numerous nieces and nephews.
