David Earl Stephens

David Earl Stephens, 84, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020, in Memphis, Tennessee.

David was a member of First Baptist Church, Horn Lake, where he also served as a deacon, taught Sunday school, and on the building committee.  He was also a member of the Sons of the American Revolution.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Mrs. Martha Claire Stephens, grandson: Aaron Jay Gunnels, and siblings; Virginia Rommell, Alex (Steve) Stephens Jr., Mary Florence Hamlin, and Charles Stephens.

Survivors include his daughter Cherrie Gunnels and husband Donald, grandchildren; David Wayne Gunnels and wife Rachel, and Dana Marie Yarbrough and husband Lance, great-grandchildren; Kayla Bradford and husband Dustin, Emily Gunnels, Gabbie Gunnels, Magen Gunnels, and Aaron Yarbrough, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers can be made to First Baptist Church, Horn Lake.
