Donna Carol White

Donna Carol White, a devoted educator and beloved community member, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026, at Baptist DeSoto Hospital in Southaven, Mississippi. Born Donna Carol Foster on April 23, 1951, in Kosciusko, Mississippi, she dedicated her life to the advancement of education and the nurturing of young minds.

Donna was a proud graduate of Carthage High School and pursued higher education with great determination, earning her Bachelor of Science in Education from what is affectionately known as "The W." She furthered her expertise by obtaining two Master's degrees in Education and Administration from the University of Memphis, a testament to her commitment to lifelong learning and educational leadership.

Her professional career was distinguished and impactful; Donna served as both an Advanced Math Teacher and Principal, roles through which she influenced countless students and colleagues. Her passion for education and leadership was evident in every aspect of her work, earning her respect and admiration in the academic community.

Beyond her professional achievements, Donna was a valued member of Providence Presbyterian Church, where she found spiritual fulfillment and community connection. Her dedication to faith and service enriched the lives of those around her.

Donna was preceded in death by her loving parents, Charles and Annie Caroline McGivney Foster, and her husband, James Reeves White. She is survived by her sisters, Cathy Roberts (Tony) of Greenwood, Mississippi, and Connie Brooks (Butch) of Carthage, Mississippi. Donna also leaves behind cherished nieces Jessica Roberts, Katelin Roberts, Mattie Lester, and a nephew, Garner Brooks, who will all deeply miss her warmth and guidance.

The family will receive friends and loved ones for visitation on May 10, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at The Carter Memorial Chapel at Twin Oaks Funeral Home, located at 290 Goodman Road East in Southaven, MS. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m., honoring Donna’s life and legacy. Interment will take place at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. on the same day.

Donna Carol White's steadfast dedication to education, her community, and her family ensures she will be remembered with great respect and affection. Her contributions and spirit will continue to inspire those who had the privilege to know her.
