It is with profound sadness and heartfelt remembrance that we share the passing of Dylan James Garcia, born on August 16, 2000, who left us on May 24, 2026. Dylan was a soul that filled the lives of those around him with joy, laughter, and an unfailing spirit of kindness.
Dylan was truly a helper to everyone he knew. His happiness was infectious, always punctuated with a goofy smile and a lighthearted tease shared generously with friends and family alike. He had a remarkable talent for making people laugh, for bringing a moment of silliness that brightened even the darkest days. His heart was enormous, always ready to lend a helping hand, and his determination and drive were qualities admired deeply by his mother, Renee.
He loved life with a passion that was palpable; the rush of adrenaline fuelled many of his happiest moments. Whether he was riding his bike, fishing by a quiet lake, riding his 4-wheeler over rugged trails, or taking his beloved Mustang out for a spin, Dylan lived fully and with great enthusiasm. His fondness for Chick-fil-A was well known among those close to him, adding a touch of simple joy to his everyday life.
Among Dylan's proudest accomplishments were the day he got his Mustang, a symbol of his love for adventure and freedom, and the day he married his beloved wife, Emory Garcia. These milestones represented not just his achievements but the depth of his love and the commitments he cherished most.
Dylan was a deeply loved son to Angel and Renee Garcia, a devoted husband to Emory and a cat dad, a cherished brother to Sean and Alex, and a beloved grandson to Esteban Garcia and Ignacia Mijangos. He is mourned by a host of other family and friends who were blessed to know his warmth and infectious joy. We also remember his grandmother, Linda Lewis, who has preceded him in passing.
As we prepare to celebrate and honor Dylan’s life, we invite all who knew him to join in remembrance. Visitation will be held on May 29, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at The Carter Memorial Chapel at Twin Oaks Funeral Home, located at 290 Goodman Road East, Southaven, MS 38671. Following this, a Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 PM, leading into a Graveside Service at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home at 3:00 PM.
Dylan James Garcia’s vibrant spirit, his boundless compassion, and the joy he spread so freely will forever live in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to share in his journey. While we grieve his loss, we also celebrate the beautiful legacy of love, laughter, and living life to the fullest that he leaves behind. His memory is a treasure that will continue to inspire and uplift us in the days to come.
