Effie Foti

Recently we mourn the passing of our beloved Effie Mae Barrett Foti, age 90 plus 3 days. She joins in Heaven above a beloved husband of almost 50 years Frank Foti (passed in 2015), son Frankie Pete Foti jr.(passed in 2017), and sisters Barbara Barrett Lape (passed in 2017), Elsie Mcvay Barrett Trotter (passed in 2017), and Evelyn Barrett Bowling (passed 1961) along with parents Majorie Barrett and Lawrence Edward Barrett. She was born in Braden TN and grew up in the Somerville TN area. She worked for 25 plus years for National Bank of Commerce as a loan officer while at the same time raising two sons and running a family of four household. While working at NBC Bank in Memphis, TN, she maintained the personal bank accounts of various celebrities including professional football players such as NFL hall of famer Reggie "the minister of the defense" White. In her early years at NBC she was the personal loan officer of Aaron Presley, father of Elvis Presley. Services will be held at West TN Veterans Memorial Cemetery where she will join her husband at 4000 Forest Hill Irene Rd, Memphis, TN (at a later date). She is survived by one of her two sons, Chris Foti as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and grand nephews.
