Helen J. Weathers

Oct 14, 1935 — Jun 26, 2026

Southaven, MS

Helen J. Weathers, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away in Southaven, Mississippi, on June 26, 2026, after a race well run, having gone on to see the Lord. Born October 14, 1935, in Marvel, Arkansas, Helen’s journey through life was one defined by unwavering devotion to her family and her faith.

From her earliest days, Helen was imbued with kindness and compassion, qualities nourished by the love of her parents, Wiliam and Mary Jarrett, who preceded her in death. She drew tremendous strength and inspiration from her family and would later create a loving, nurturing home for her own children.

Helen excelled in the most heartfelt vocation: that of a stay-at-home mother and homemaker. She devoted her entire being to raising five children, providing them with warmth, guidance, and endless affection. Her children, Robert Weathers, Stephen Weathers, Vicki Woods, and Leigh Ann Wright, survive her, cherishing the lessons and love she bestowed upon them every day of their lives. She was preceded in death by her cherished son, Brian Weathers. Helen’s heart was once entwined with her late husband, Bobby Weathers, whose memory remained with her throughout her life.

Helen held a deep sense of joy and pride in the family she raised and the grandchildren she adored. Her family and her children stood at the very center of her world, and their accomplishments and happiness were her proudest accomplishments. Those she loved always knew the feeling of her steadfast support and gentle encouragement.

Known as a good and loving mom, Helen’s care extended outward to all those she encountered. She delighted in cooking, filling her home with comforting aromas and dishes prepared with love. Her nurturing touch reached beyond her immediate family, as she was always ready to help and care for others, offering support and warmth in times of need.

Faith was an essential part of Helen’s life. She was a proud member of the Goodman Oaks Church of Christ, where her devotion and presence enriched the congregation. Her faith was both a source of tremendous comfort and guiding strength throughout the seasons of her life.

In quieter moments, Helen enjoyed the simple pleasures of crosswords and sudoku puzzles. These pastimes reflected her curious mind and her appreciation for thoughtful challenges.

Helen’s legacy is one of love, faith, and steadfast dedication. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her surviving children—Robert, Stephen, Vicki, and Leigh Ann—as well as by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those she loved, and her memory will remain a blessing.
