Janice VanCourt Byrd, 83, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2020 in Southaven, Mississippi. Twin Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Janice was born on December 16, 1936 in Ocean Springs, MS. She called Horn Lake home for many years. She was married to the man of her dreams, Larry, for 63 happy and joyful years. Janice was also a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Southaven, MS. Some of her favorite past times were reading and solving crossword puzzles. Most of all Janice loved her family. She will be greatly missed for the unconditional love she gave, the smile that lit up a room, and the hugs that gave comfort and strength.
Janice Byrd is survived by her daughter, Kathleen B (Lawrence) Wood; grandchildren, Ian Byrd, Leslie Puggi, Kristen Prewitt, and Jessica Hard; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Janice is preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Larry Byrd; son, Larry E. Byrd; parents, Charles Earnest and Adel VanCourt; 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
