Jimmie Dell Humphrey, 64, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020, in Southaven, Mississippi.  The family will receive friends Monday, March 9

, at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm.  A memorial service will follow immediately.

Jimmie was a pet lover and enjoyed outdoor activities like camping, fishing, RVing, and many others.  She is a veteran of the Southaven Police Department and was the second female to serve in the city.  She served for many years and earned the rank of Lieutenant before her retirement.

Survivors include her wife of 32 years Kay Vescovi, her daughters; Kristy Crawford and husband Travis, and Keri Edmond and husband Michael, grandchildren; Blake Repess, Brady Respess, TJ Crawford, Jayden Crawford, Kaitlyn Croom, Kaleb Croom, and Liliana Croom, siblings; Frank McElhaney and wife Judy, Tommy McElhaney and wife Donna, and Chuck McElhaney and wife Lana, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. James William and Frances Adell McElhaney, and siblings JW McElhaney, Joe McElhaney, and Peggy Foster.

Memorial donations can be made to ARRF (Arkabutla Rescue Rehabilitation and Foster) or St. Jude.
