Jimmy Louis Clark

July 21, 1942 — August 31, 2017

Jimmy Louis Clark, age 75, is now at home with his Savior, Jesus Christ.

After a long and courageous 11 year battle with Parkinson’s Disease, he entered the presence of Jesus on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at his home in Southaven, MS.

Jim is survived by his forever loving wife, Linda; his beloved and cherished children, Lori Clark Napier (David) and Jeffrey Lance Clark; his precious, forever treasured grandchildren, Ashley Paige Bennett and Blake Alexander Bennett; siblings, Dot Ford of Bartlett, TN, Max Clark of Olive Branch, MS, and Don Clark (Barbara) of Supply, NC.

Later in life, he was blessed with three more handsome and amazing grandsons, Tyler, Daniel, and Jacob Napier, whom he loved as well.

He also leaves many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, who were always on his heart and mind. Jim was quick to share his faith in Jesus and prayed for each one to accept the free gift of salvation to have a personal relationship with Christ.  Jim was a Charter Member of Broadmoor Baptist Church for many years, later moving his membership to Bellevue Baptist Church, and then Longview Baptist Church in Southaven, where he lived prior to his homegoing.

Jim coached basketball for many years at Broadmoor Baptist Church, enjoyed working with the Park Commission refereeing basketball and participated several years in the “Friend” mentoring program at Boys Town.

At the end of his life he continued witnessing for the Lord to his hospice nurses and caregivers, leading one caregiver gentleman to Christ.

Jim was born in Adamsville, TN on July 21, 1942 and was preceded in death by his parents, EE and Thelma Clark and one sister, Dean Clark Sanders of Knoxville, TN.

His 40 year career with CSX Transportation Railroad as an Engineer, was an important part of his life, along with all the friends and relationships he formed during those years.

A dedicated and avid Tennessee Vols fan who loved to hunt (especially deer), fish, and spend quality time with family and friends brought him great pleasure throughout his life.
