Jon Dallion Corl

Jon Dallion Corl, affectionately known as “Pops,” passed away on July 29, 2026, in Hernando, Mississippi, at the age of 81. Born on October 27, 1944, in Pennsylvania, Jon lived a full and vibrant life, marked by his dedication to family, pursuit of hands-on craftsmanship, and a deep appreciation for the natural world.

Throughout his long life, Jon cherished the outdoors, finding solace and joy in its quiet beauty. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, pursuits through which he formed meaningful connections with family and friends, imparting knowledge, and creating lasting memories. Jon also had a talent and fondness for woodworking—his skilled hands producing pieces that are treasured by those fortunate enough to receive them. Whether tending to his meticulously kept lawn or sharing tips about outdoor care, Jon took immense pride in his work and his surroundings.

Jon valued the company of family above all else. He is survived by his sons, Jon Derek Corl (Beth), and Jared Daniel Corl (Ashley).  His legacy continues in his beloved grandchildren, Madeliene, Isis, and Deacon. He is also remembered by his siblings, Marjorie, Sue, Kathy, and Bruce.

Jon was predeceased by his beloved wife, Joanne Corl, whose memory he honored throughout his life, and his brother Richard.

The enduring spirit of Jon Dallion Corl lives on in the stories shared by his family and friends and in the many lives he touched with his wisdom, humor, and generosity. His commitment to his loved ones, his patient guidance, and his passion for both creating and enjoying the beauty in the world around him leave an indelible mark on all who knew him.
