Mr. Raburn was full of life and
charisma and
had a personality that could not be contained. He loved to dance and was known to “cut a rug” of the dance floor. He truly was the life of the party. Having playing sports all of his life, including basketball and baseball, Mr. Raburn was an avid Memphis Tigers and New Orleans Saints fan.
He enjoyed listening to music and was an amazing writer, having written various poems and songs throughout his life.
Mr. Raburn loved
going to eat at numerous Chinese restaurants and had an obsession with rice.
He enjoyed sitting on his deck overlooking his property while drinking his coffee each morning.
He loved psychology and loved being able to
analyze
everything in depth.
One of his
strongest
attributes was that he would stand up for what he believed in. No matter if others viewed it as right or wrong, Mr. Raburn never strayed or backed down from his morals and beliefs.
He loved his family and friends beyond measure. It was often said that he had the biggest heart of anyone you could ever meet.
Mr. Raburn will be greatly missed by the ones he shared his life with.

Paul; one niece, Alyssa May of Horn Lake; grandmothers, Joyce Pilgrim of Southaven, MS, and Bertha Holland of Coldwater; aunts and uncles, Chuck Raburn of Jackson, TN, Brenda and Darryl Hellums of Coldwater, Mark and Penny Coolican of Collierville, TN, Kathy Pilgrim of Southaven, Don Pilgrim of Southaven, and Mike Pilgrim of Atlanta, GA. Mr. Raburn also leaves behind a host of loving cousins and other family.
He was preceded in death by his father,
Kerry Guy Ra
burn; and grandfather, Marvin Pilgrim
.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations and memorials in honor of Mr. Joshua Michael Raburn, be made to the American Diabetes Association (P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215).
A memorial service will be held Monday, June 25, 2018, beginning at 2:00 P.M. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home (290 Goodman Road East, Southaven, MS 38671).
