Juanita Frances Rickett

Juanita Frances Rickett, age 90, of Southaven, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Baptist DeSoto Hospital. She was born on March 9, 1933 in Missouri to the late Joseph Marcus “Mark” and Gladys Irene (Smithpeters) Helm.
Juanita had worked as a telephone operator and attended SouthPoint Church with her son. She loved to bowl and was a member of the Dixie Chix and several other bowling teams, loved line dancing, playing canasta and bunco, camping, cooking, watching daytime soap operas, and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.
In addition to her parents, Juanita is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 34 years, Charlie Thomas Rickett and daughter Karen Higginbotham.
Juanita will be lovingly remembered by her son Ricky Rickett, daughter Pamela Bartelli (Stephen), grandchildren Kari Garrison (Larry), Tyler Higginbotham, Kaitlin Higginbotham, Richard Thomas Rickett, Daniel Rickett (Patricia), Shayna McGinty (Chris), and Alan Bartelli (Brenda), great-grandchildren Ryder McGinty, Piper McGinty, Kylie Pennington, Landon Garrison, Zoe’ Garrison, Langston Garrison, Kai Higginbotham, D. C. Rickett, Patience Rickett, Jackson Rickett, and Liam Rickett.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Twin Oaks Funeral Home from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Memorial donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
