Kathryn Juanita Hollis

July 16, 1958 — September 8, 2025

Horn Lake, MS

Kathryn Juanita Hollis, affectionately known “The Pineapple Lady” and “The Gadget Lady,” left this world on September 8, 2025, in Horn Lake, Mississippi. Born on July 16, 1959, in Memphis, Tennessee, Kathryn was a radiant soul whose infectious laughter and boundless kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.

A beloved member of Heartland Church, Kathryn devoted herself to caring for the youngest members of her community, working in the nursery where she found immense joy in guiding and nurturing babies. Her love for arts and crafts was a testament to her creativity, and she cherished making items for Operation Christmas Child, pouring her heart into each project. She found peace and happiness in diamond painting, immersing herself in the beauty of each creation. Shopping for unique gadgets, watching movies, and listening to music brought her unending joy, filling her days with life and laughter.

Kathryn's personality was a delightful blend of humor and warmth. Drenched in beauty and kindness, she possessed the biggest heart of anyone around her. Her wit and charm could light up any room, making her a cherished friend and confidant. Family and friends were endlessly grateful to share countless memories with her, too many to mention.

Her proudest accomplishments were her family—her husband Larry Hollis, daughter Shannon Ford, and beloved grandchildren Alexander Ford and Sara Ford. They were her world, the jewels of her heart, and the source of her greatest joy. Kathryn was also a devoted sister to Debra Millett, Lisa Boyd (Johnny), Sheila Sikes (Charles), and Tommy Jones (Jennifer). She embraced her role as a stepmother to Stephanie Lambert (Kevin) and Abbi Hollis and was a loving step-grandmother to Amren and Haiden Lambert. Her family extended to several nieces and nephews, all of whom will carry forward her legacy of love.

While we mourn her passing, Kathryn’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Margaret Ann (Swindle) Jones, and her niece Kory Havens, with whom she shared a particularly close bond.

As we remember Kathryn Juanita Hollis, let us celebrate a life defined by love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to family. She will be dearly missed, but her extraordinary spirit and the memories she leaves behind will continue to inspire all those who had the joy to walk alongside her in life.
