Ken Yeager Jr., a man of unwavering devotion and immense love, passed away on June 3, 2025, at the age of 70 in Memphis, TN, after bravely battling several illnesses for the past four years. Born on February 21, 1955, in Alabama, Ken exemplified what it meant to be a dedicated husband and father, leaving behind a legacy that resonates deeply with those who knew him.
In his professional life, Ken was a compassionate claims manager in the insurance industry, where he not only provided support to clients but also brought a warm heart to his work. However, it was not in the corporate world that Ken made his most profound impact; it was in the realm of family. His love and devotion to his wife, Linda, and their sons, Keith and the late Kevin, stand as a testament to the beautiful family they shared. Ken’s proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly his wife and sons, who filled his life with joy and purpose.
An avid supporter of the Alabama Crimson Tide Football team, Ken found joy in watching games and celebrated victories with fervor. His passion for sports also extended to coaching youth sports when his sons were younger, imparting valuable lessons of teamwork and perseverance. Whether it was fishing or hunting trips with his sons, and other family members Ken cherished the moments spent creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Ken’s vibrant personality endeared him to many. He was known for being very devoted to his family and ensuring they had everything they needed. His love extended beyond immediate family, encompassing a host of nieces, nephews, and cherished friends who felt his unwavering support and encouragement.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda; his son, Keith; his sister, Carol Wilmath; along with his cherished fur baby, Bailey, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will remember him fondly. Welcoming him in love and remembrance are his parents, Kenneth and Frances Yeager; his late son, Kevin Yeager; his sisters, Linda Joiner and Michelle Wolfe; brothers-in-law Steve Joiner and Mike Wilmath; and his nephew, Stephen Joiner, who have now gained a guardian angel.
Ken will be honored in a visitation on June 11, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at The Carter Memorial Chapel at Twin Oaks Funeral Home, located at 290 Goodman Road East, Southaven, MS. A burial service will follow from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
