Kimberly L. Ward

October 28, 1963 — May 22, 2026

Horn Lake

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Kimberly L. Ward, who left this world on May 22, 2026, in Horn Lake, Mississippi, after a courageous battle with complications from Parkinson's Disease. Born on October 28, 1963, in Texas, Kim graced the lives of those who knew her with warmth, kindness, and an unwavering love for life.

Kim’s spirit was gentle yet vibrant. She found deep joy in the simplicity and beauty of the natural world—whether camping under the starry skies or riding her ATV alongside her beloved husband, Allen Ward. Though her medical challenges often limited her physically, they never diminished her passion for nature’s embrace. Kim’s devotion extended to the animal kingdom, cherishing her three treasured pets who, in return, loved her with steadfast loyalty and affection.

Her journey through life was marked by profound relationships with family. Kim is lovingly remembered by her husband of 33 years, Allen, who stood by her side through every challenge and triumph. She was a devoted mother to Sandra, Ricky, Jason, Christopher, David, and Destiny—each carrying forward her legacy of love and resilience. Her nurturing spirit also blossomed in the presence of her ten grandchildren, with another eagerly awaited, and her great-grandchild, soon to be joined by yet another new life entering the family.

Kim’s family circle extended around her siblings Kenneth, Paula, Cynthia, Rick, Michael, and Tosha, each sharing treasured memories of childhood and beyond. She was also blessed to have her mother, Dorothy Yates, who survives her, providing a cherished bond that spanned decades. The Ward family’s story includes the remembrance of those who have passed before her—Kenneth W. Yates and Dorothy M. Yates—whose memories are lovingly held in the hearts of all.

A celebration of Kim’s life will be held on June 5, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, located at 290 Goodman Rd E, Southaven, Mississippi. This gathering will be a time for all who loved Kim to remember her radiant spirit and the indelible mark she left on their lives.

In farewell, Kim Ward leaves behind a tender legacy—a testament to love’s enduring power amidst life’s trials. She will be profoundly missed but forever remembered in the rustle of the trees, the gentle hum of an ATV ride, and the warm heartbeats of the family she so deeply loved.
