Lisa McElhaney, affectionately known to all as LisaMac, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, in Southaven, MS. Born on November 13, 1963, in Memphis, TN, Lisa lived a life true to herself—bold, outspoken, and full of heart. She was a woman who walked her path with unwavering strength, embracing every moment with the fierce independence that those close to her admired.
LisaMac was known for her unique way of doing things. She always thought of others but did so on her own terms, making everyone feel special in a way only she could. Tough on the outside, she carried the biggest heart inside—a blend of humor, stubbornness, and unapologetic honesty. Friends and family often said, "If they needed something, they called Mac," a testament to her dependable spirit and loyalty.
A believer in God, Lisa found joy and purpose in the simple yet profound pleasures of life. She loved sports, especially basketball and softball, which fueled her competitive nature and her vibrant, energetic soul. Her hobbies reflected her adventurous spirit—riding motorcycles, fishing, and even scraping to recycle, showing a side of her care for the environment that spoke quietly but deeply.
Lisa fought a good fight against life’s challenges, surrounded by her loving siblings, mother, and dear friends. Her strength in adversity was inspiring, and her spirit remained unbroken until the end. On May 15, 2026, from 5 PM until 7 PM, a visitation will be held in her honor at Twin Oaks Funeral Home, located at 290 Goodman Rd E, Southaven, MS, where those who cherished her can gather to celebrate her life and memory.
She is survived by her mother, Ida McElhaney; brothers Frank McElhaney and his wife Twila, and Jonny McElhaney; sisters Star Kell and her husband Jon, and Francita Neal and her husband Eric; her beloved fur-baby Suzie; her best friend since childhood, Chris Serros; and a host of family and friends who held her dearly in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank McElhaney, and her nephew, Christopher Thomas.
Lisa had no regrets in life. She did everything she ever wanted, lived on her own terms, and left a lasting impact on those who knew her. The world was more vibrant with LisaMac in it—she made us laugh, challenged us with her hard-headedness, loved us fiercely, and now leaves us with memories that will forever bear her unmistakable mark—the strong, funny, and tender heart of Lisa McElhaney.
