Lisa Lynn Medlin

July 1, 1964 — October 18, 2025

Horn Lake, MS

Lisa Lynn Medlin, a beacon of love and resilience, was born on July 1, 1964, in Memphis, TN. With a vivacious spirit and an unwavering determination, she graced the world with her presence until her passing on October 18, 2025, in Horn Lake, MS.

Lisa dedicated much of her life to her work, establishing her own cleaning business where her hard work and commitment shone through. As a housekeeper, she not only maintained the cleanliness of spaces but also left behind a touch of her love in every corner she touched. Her strong-willed nature and opinions were matched only by her caring heart and unselfish spirit. Lisa was thrifty and resourceful, always on the lookout for ways to better her life and the lives around her.

Those who were fortunate enough to know Lisa would remember her not only for her beautiful blue eyes but also for her profound depth of love and intuition. She had a way of making everyone feel seen and valued, and her honesty forged strong connections with those she loved. Lisa's proudest accomplishments are her children and grandchildren.  She took great joy in watching them grow and thrive, and the memories created together will forever stay etched in their hearts.

In her leisure, Lisa sought solace in nature, finding joy in doing yard work and embracing the beauty of the world around her. She had a passion for collecting rocks and fossils, treasures from the earth that reflected her love for the natural world. Her furry friend, a beloved cat, received the same care and affection that Lisa extended to everyone in her life.

Surviving Lisa are her devoted life partner of 21 years, Richard Wilson, her children Candace Freeman, Tabitha Bailey (Larry Moffitt), and Wesley Medlin, Richard's children, Chad Wilson and Leslie Raggett, along with her four beloved grandchildren, Tristan, Anna, Alaina Claire, and Jayden, and two great-grandchildren, Atlas and Cohen and Richard's grandchildren, Conner, Hurley, Banan, and Grant. She also leaves behind her cherished sister-in-law, Brenda Cooke, and Brenda's children, John Cooke and Ashley Parker.

While Lisa is reunited with her parents, John Purvis "Pete" and Margaret Bridget (O'Neill) Cooke, and newborn brother, Jerry Lynn Cooke, who preceded her in death, her legacy of love, strength, and unwavering spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. The world is a little dimmer without her light, but her memory will forever be a source of inspiration and warmth for her family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
