Born on September 29, 1937, in Randolph, MS and known as Virginia by all who knew her, was a woman of boundless compassion and dedication, who made her greatest impact within the walls of her own home.
Virginia devoted herself to her family and became a beloved homemaker after marrying her husband, Odis Owens. She was known for her incredible ability to bring people together, hosting family get-togethers every Sunday at her home, where her kitchen overflowed with delicious meals, not just for her own children, but also for their friends. Her caring heart extended far and wide, ensuring everyone felt welcome and cared for.
Her personality shone brightly as a good woman, a devoted mother, and a nurturing grandmother. Virginia took pride in her children—Cindy Clark (Louis), Patricia Berryhill (David), Michael Owens, and Steve Owens (Katrina)—and her six grandkids: Kenneth, Jessica, Ashley, Junior, Britney, and Ryan. To them, she was not just a grandma but a source of wisdom, laughter, and unconditional love. Her joy multiplied with the addition of her five great-grandchildren: Jullien, Jadiyah, Faith, Neciea, and Kenzlee, who brought her immense pride and happiness.
Virginia embraced life with a zest that few could match. She found pleasure in a variety of hobbies, including hunting, fishing, gardening, and enjoying the thrill of visits to the casino and garage sales. Each activity was another opportunity for her to share joyous moments with her loved ones, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Her family is grateful for the profound accomplishments she achieved through her children and grandchildren, whose successes are a testament to her nurturing spirit and enduring influence. Virginia is survived by her brother, Jess Earl Tutor (Brenda), whose support and companionship she valued deeply.
She joins in eternal rest her beloved husband, Odis Owens, parents, Willis A. and Erma (Garner) Tutor, and her beloved siblings: Pearl Moore, Hazel Carmen, Robert Tutor, and Martha Tutor.
