Mark Thomas Wack, 58, of Southaven, Mississippi, passed away on October 5, 2026, in Southaven after a battle with Glioblastoma. He was born on September 23, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee.
Mark lived with deep devotion to the things that mattered most to him: his faith, his family, and his work. He had a strong faith, loved the Lord, and loved his church. Those who knew him saw a man who was humble yet proud at the same time, competitive in spirit, and strong on the outside, while holding a deep love for his family at the center of his life. His wife and children always came first, as well as other family members, and one of his proudest accomplishments was making sure they had what they needed. Above all, his family was his greatest joy.
He was a graduate of Elliston Baptist Academy High School. He continued his education at Northwest Community College and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Memphis State. Mark loved his work. He was passionate about the family business, carrying forward the legacy of his father, who had been the previous owner, and then embracing the opportunity to become owner and operator himself. He took great pride in growing that business and cared deeply for both his employees and his customers.
Outside of work, Mark enjoyed the things that brought people together and created lasting memories. He loved Elvis Presley and seemed to know all there was to know about Elvis. He treasured days spent on the boat at Pickwick Lake and looked forward to going to Oxford to tailgate. These were the kinds of moments that reflected his love of life, family, and shared traditions.
Mark will be remembered most for the love he gave to those closest to him. He is survived by his wife, Ginny; his son, Connor; his daughter, Mary Caroline; and his mother, Mary Wanda. In their lives, his love, protection, and steady presence will continue to be felt, and his memory will remain a lasting blessing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Wack; his brother, Michael Wack; his uncle, Duane Simmons; and his grandparents, Floyd and Dean Simmons.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Longview Heights Baptist Church, 4501 Goodman Rd, Olive Branch, Mississippi. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. A reception with lunch in the fellowship hall will be held afterward from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. A graveside service will then take place at 1:15 p.m. at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, 290 Goodman Road East, Southaven, Mississippi.
Mark’s life was marked by faith, hard work, loyalty, and love. He leaves behind the memory of a man who cared deeply, worked passionately, and held fast to the people he loved most. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
