Mary Neblett Bowen passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at the age of 86 in Southaven, Mississippi at Desoto Healthcare Center. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2023, from 10:00am until 11:00am, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00am with Bro. Don Goodrum officiating at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 290 Goodman Road E., Southaven, MS, 38671. The Graveside Service will be held at Odd Fellows East Cemetery, 6111 Highway 82 East, Greenwood, MS, 38930 at 2:30pm.
Mary Neblett Bowen
was born to the late James & Jewel Neblett. Mary spent her career as an Inspector Supervisor at Baldwin Piano Company in Greenwood, Mississippi for 35 years. In her spare time, she loved working in her flower beds. She enjoyed traveling, especially on family trips with her children and grandchildren. She taught her family to always take care of one another.
She leaves behind two daughters, Jean Bowen Zimmerly (Louis) League City, TX and Linda Bowen Holmes (Wallace) Southaven, MS; 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, Two sisters, Alice Cockrell (Magee, MS) & Jewel Dean Wiggley (Jackson, MS).
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Johnny Bowen; her daughter, Judy Bowen Buchanan; Her parents James & Jewel Neblett; 5 brothers & 1 sister.
Pallbearers: Louis Zimmerly, George Branch Jr., Xavier Muniz, George Branch III, Colby Thompson, & Bowen Williams.
The family wants to thank all the staff at Desoto Family Healthcare, they took such good care of our mom, and she loved them all.
