Born on June 11, 1935, in Lutesville, Missouri, Mildred, affectionately known as Marie, lived a life steeped in love, laughter, and dedication to her family and community.

Marie’s professional journey was marked by her role as a sales consultant for various beauty companies, notably Mary Kay, where she found great pride in her work, earning a charm bracelet symbolizing her commitment and success. Her creativity and passion defined her approach to life, enriching the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Throughout her incredible life, Marie was known for her joyous spirit and welcoming demeanor. She possessed a friendly and lighthearted personality that drew people to her. She delighted in long conversations with her daughter, Deborah, that would stretch into hours of meaningful connection and breathless laughter. Notably, her caring nature shone brightly as she guided her son Joe in staying out of mischief, forever embodying the nurturing essence of a loving mother.

Marie’s contributions to her family were numerous. She reveled in her roles as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, taking immense pride in each generation that followed. Her legacy continues through her adored children: daughter Deborah Long and son Joe Holland, her grandchildren Andrew Douglas Long, Allison Marie Long, Justin Holland, and Samantha Mask, as well as her great-grandchildren Paisley Marie Parsons, Jackson Michael Parsons, Oliver Cruz Holland, and Ocean Holland and sister Sue Hill.

Beyond her family life, Marie had an ardent love for her home. She found joy in tending to her house plants, decorating her home, and cooking with great enthusiasm, particularly when preparing delightful desserts, such as her cherry cheesecake, that would undoubtedly bring smiles to those who savored her creations.

A devoted member of the Avondale Baptist Church in West Memphis, Arkansas, years ago, Marie demonstrated her deep-rooted faith and commitment to community service, reflecting an unwavering belief in the goodness of others.

Mildred was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hervie L. Sartin, and her parents, Earlie and Gearldean (Yount) Estes. Additionally, she was reunited in spirit with her cherished siblings, Hubert Estes, Bob Estes, and Bill Estes, who remain in the hearts of all who knew them.
