Patricia (Patsey) Campbell Knight passed away peacefully in Memphis, TN after a long battle with dementia.
Patsey was a proud graduate of Central High School, where her journey of determination and care began. She enjoyed a successful career as an executive assistant with Southeastern Asset Management, where her professionalism and warmth touched the lives of many colleagues and clients. Upon retirement, Patsey continued to inspire those around her through her active participation in her faith communities, including long-standing membership at Central Church and Redeemer Evangelical Church.
She delighted in the simple pleasures of life—gardening, cooking, and most importantly, spending treasured moments with her family. These passions reflected her nurturing spirit and her ability to bring warmth and joy into any setting.
Patsey was predeceased by her loving parents, Lester and Madalin Campbell, as well as her brothers, Tom and John Campbell. She was also predeceased by the love of her life, Caskey Eugene Fleming, whose memory she held dear always.
She is lovingly survived by her two daughters, Ashley Reed and her husband Mark of Piperton, TN, and Kasey Adams and her husband Ben of Charleston, SC and her stepson Brett Fleming and his wife Delores. Patsey’s legacy shines brightly through her three grandsons—Mitchell Marable, Stott Reed, and Asher Adams—who brought her immeasurable joy. She is also survived by her two sisters, Peggy Winston and her husband Charles, and Penny Dancer.
Patsey’s family remembers her as a woman of deep faith, enduring strength, and boundless love. Her presence enriched the lives of all who knew her, and her memory will remain a treasured blessing.
The family respectfully requests that memorials be sent to Baptist Trinity Hospice, the Medical Education & Research Institute (MERI), or a charity of choice in honor of Patsey’s generous and compassionate spirit.
A Remembrance Gathering will be held at a later date.
