In Loving Memory of Reba Cooper
July 11, 1945 — June 20, 2026
Reba Venica Cooper, age 80, of Southaven, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at home on June 20, 2026, surrounded by the comfort of the people she loved. She was born on July 11, 1945, in Monterey, Tennessee, to Hobert and Edus Robbins.
Reba lived a life defined by devotion—to her country, her work, and above all, her family. For more than 17 years, she proudly served as a U.S. Navy wife, standing alongside her husband through the demands and sacrifices of military life. She later gave 30 dedicated years to Walmart in Southaven, where she became a beloved fixture of the community. To countless shoppers, she was simply "the red-headed lady"—the one they hoped to see, the friendly face who made an ordinary errand feel a little warmer. Reba never met a stranger, and her genuine kindness left an impression on everyone who crossed her path.
Family was the heart of Reba's world. She treasured every moment spent with loved ones and friends, and few things brought her greater joy than cheering on her grandsons from the stands at their sporting events. A woman of simple and timeless pleasures, she also delighted in watching the old western TV shows that reminded her of a gentler era. Her warmth, her laughter, and her open heart will be deeply missed.
Reba is survived by her two daughters, Venica (Brian) Duhme and Christine (Josh) Siddon; her four grandsons, Jonathon (Alyssa) Duhme, David (Candice) Siddon, Jacob (Sam) Duhme, and Zachary Duhme; and her ten cherished great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hobert and Edus Robbins, and her beloved husband of 56 years, John Cooper, with whom she is now joyfully reunited.
The family will receive friends and family for visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the funeral service immediately following at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 290 Goodman Road East, Southaven, MS 38671.
In honor of Reba, those attending the funeral are kindly invited to wear bright, casual attire to celebrate her warm and joyful spirit.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Reba's honor.
Reba's red hair may have caught your eye, but it was her warmth that you remembered. May she rest in peace.
