Robert Earl Booth, Sr., known as Buddy to his family and closest of friends, was a beloved heavy equipment operator who departed this world on January 31, 2024. Born on March 10, 1954, in Charleston, MS, he was the son of Olen Melton Booth and Mary Louise (Rogers) Booth. Robert was one of twelve siblings and cherished the close bond he shared with his family throughout his life.

With a lively and wide-open personality, Robert had an incredible sense of humor and delighted in making people laugh. He had a talent for crafting jokes and assigning playful nicknames to those around him. His family and friends could always count on him to bring joy into their lives with his quick wit.

Beyond his profession as a heavy equipment operator, Robert had a range of interests and hobbies that brought him immense happiness. He found solace in nature through camping trips, indulged his passion for fishing, and experienced the thrill of racing. Additionally, he enjoyed the rambunctious joy that came with hunting excursions with his friends and family.

However, above all else, Robert's proudest accomplishment was his family. He adored spending time with them and treasured every moment he had together with his late wife Melissa A. (Pruitt) Booth. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love and happiness.

Robert's love extended to his sons Robert Booth Jr. (Stacy) and Stephen Booth. He was deeply proud of their accomplishments both in their personal lives and careers. His cherished grandchildren Brittany Booth (Jon), Tyler Booth, Paige Dover (Will), Shelby Morrow, Ashley Delaney (Christian) were a significant source of joy for him. Additionally, he had the pleasure of doting on several great-grandchildren including Oakley, Cole, Macie, Mason, Zoey, Nicholas.

To honor his memory and celebrate his life well-lived, visitation services will be held on February 3rd at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Southaven, MS from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. This will be followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. Robert will then be laid to rest in a burial ceremony commencing at 3:00 PM at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.

During this time of grief, Robert's family finds comfort in knowing that he has touched the lives of many. He leaves behind nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever hold cherished memories of their time together.

Robert Earl Booth, Sr. will forever be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, his commitment to family, and his ability to bring laughter into any room. His legacy lives on in the hearts and minds of those fortunate enough to have known him. May he rest in peace.
