Rodger Lee Taylor

November 1, 1960 — November 21, 2020

Rodger Lee Taylor, age 60, passed away to be with our Lord on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 11:33 pm.  He was a former Maintenance Mechanic, specialing in Plastics. He loved fishing, playing frisbee disc golf,  and listening to music (jamming out and going to concerts with his son, Matt).  He was great in sports, loved to eat and spend time with his family and friends.  He was preceeded in death by his awesome father, Hilton R. Taylor of Rosemark, TN and he leaves his precious mother, Martha Sue Taylor of Southaven, MS.  He was preceeded in death by his eldest brother and good friend, David P. Taylor (Lisa) of Rosemark, TN, and he leaves his two close, loving brothers and friends, Hilton Allen Taylor (Angela) of Omaha, NE, and Robert W. Taylor (LaDonna) of Southaven, Ms.  Rodger was the hero to his children and grandchildren.

He leaves his beautiful, adoring daughter, Angela Leigh Taylor Cupps (Chris) of Southaven, MS (his constant friend, advocate and wonderful care giver, his “Bug”), and handsome, loving son,  Matthew Allen Taylor, of Hernando, MS, (his great friend, twin, and partner in  shenanigans, his “Boy” ).  He leaves his “best friend” and grandson, Jackson Lee Taylor (his fishing buddy and sidekick), and beautiful granddaughter Lilly Grace Cupps (his Princess Girl), both of Southaven, Ms.  He leaves his lovely granddaughter, Kori Lynn Cupps (his sweet, ginger girl, of whom he was so proud) of Oxford, MS.  He leaves his special friend and mother of his children, Monica Allen Taylor of Southaven, MS.

He had many friends and family that adored him and his big smile.  He left a legacy of love and wonderful memories and will forever be missed by all that knew him.  He was a born again Christian and now has a new address in Heaven.  To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.  Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven, Ms will be handling the arrangements.
