Sandra Alice Henderson, born Sandra Alice Westbrook, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home in Memphis, Tennessee, on September 30, 2026. She was born on April 3, 1957, in Marks, Mississippi. Her passing brings deep sorrow to all who knew her, while her life leaves behind a lasting example of kindness, faith, and devotion to family.
Sandra was an Environmental Consultant for ECA, and she also gave generously of herself in service to others. For many years, she taught Sunday School for children, a role that reflected both her deep faith and her love for young hearts and minds. She was very religious, loved the church, and found joy in teaching children about Jesus. That calling was not simply something she did, but something she carried warmly into the lives of those around her.
She was a woman of many gifts and interests. Sandra loved reading, sewing, crochet, and candle making, and there seemed to be no hobby she could not enjoy or do well. She was very talented, and the creativity she brought to her interests reflected the care and joy she brought to everyday life.
Those who knew Sandra will remember her as sweet and bubbly, someone who never had a harsh word against anyone. Her voice was soft-spoken, and she was always happy to see you, always making others feel important. She was deeply family oriented, and the love she gave to those closest to her was one of the defining blessings of her life. Among her proudest accomplishments were her two boys, who remained a central joy in her heart.
Sandra is survived by her beloved husband, Gregory Henderson. She also leaves behind her sons, Terry Henderson and Gregory Henderson Jr., who were such a source of pride to her, as well as Lexi, her cherished fur-baby, who was part of the family she loved so dearly. The bond Sandra shared with her family was at the center of her life, and her love will continue to be felt in the home and hearts she nurtured so faithfully.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Hannah Lee Henderson; her parents, Grady and Ella Westbrook; and her brother, Grady Westbrook Jr. Their memories remained part of her life, and now she is reunited with those who went before her.
A Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service on October 6, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at The Carter Memorial Chapel at Twin Oaks Funeral Home, 290 Goodman Road East, Southaven, Mississippi 38671. Burial will follow from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, 290 Goodman Rd E, Southaven, Mississippi 38671.
Sandra Alice Henderson will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her steady faith, her many talents, and the warmth she gave so freely. Her life touched others in quiet, meaningful ways, and her memory will be treasured with love.
