Sandra Rains

Sandra Kaye Henson Rains, age 75, passed away on December 19, 2025, in Southaven, Mississippi.

Sandra was born in Cleveland, Mississippi, and made her home in Southaven, Mississippi, where she built a life centered on family. She found her greatest joy in gathering loved ones together, especially around a home-cooked meal. Her kitchen and table were places of warmth, laughter, and connection. She also treasured her role as “Aunt Granny,” a title she wore proudly, especially in her cherished relationship with Levi Abad.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Rains; her sisters, Rebecca Werkeiser and Debra Cockrum; her brother, Ricky Henson; her nephews, Robert Hollinger and Cory Joe Henson; and her parents, J.C. and Jessie Henson.

She is survived by her son, Bradley (Merrissa) Rains; her grandchildren, Hailey (Zoe) Freeman, Bradley Rains II, and Isley Rains; her great-grandchildren, Madisyn and Cassius; and her brother, Randy (Carla) Henson.

Sandra also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews: Kimberly (Charlie) Diana, Jessica (Chris) Walker, Kristin (Sean) Renz, Jennifer (Alex) Abad, Christopher (Jenni) Henson, Robert Kyle Henson, and Kirkland Henson, along with a large number of cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews who will cherish her memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Desoto Hope, in support of helping others fight against cancer.
