Sidney Lamar Phelps

Sidney Lamar Phelps, age 86, of Olive Branch, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Landmark of DeSoto in Horn Lake. He was born on March 21, 1936 in Greenville, AL to the late Will George and Gladys Olean (Sampley) Phelps.
Sidney was a retired Master Sargent from the United States Air Force. He was a member of Life Springs United Methodist Church and enjoyed welding, woodworking, tractors, gardening, and going to Cracker Barrel.
In addition to his parents, Sidney is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years, Betty Jean (Wasden) Phelps, his daughter Paula Robbins, brother George Phelps, and sister Sammie Salter.
Sidney will be remembered by his daughters Julia Chestnut, Shelia Croley (Rick), and Rhonda Bryson (Eddie), grandchildren Miranda Baker (Robert), Andrea Milner, and Wade Richardson, and great-grandchildren Kobe Barnes and Zoe Barnes.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Twin Oaks Funeral Home from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm. Burial with military honors will immediately follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens.
