Susan V. Needham, a cherished soul born on July 14, 1964, in Memphis, Tennessee, was embraced by the arms of the Lord on May 19, 2025, in Southaven, Mississippi. A dedicated childcare director and beloved figure in her community, Susan's life was marked by laughter, love, and an unwavering faith that left an indelible impact on those fortunate enough to know her.

In a world that often rushes by, Susan took the time to truly connect with others, feeding not just bellies but also hearts. Her playful spirit danced within the walls of her daycare, where she adopted the role of nurturer as effortlessly as she cooked for her family with devotion. Memories of her sons, Kyle and Gareth, are infused with warmth—cooking side by side with their mother, laughing at her sarcastic jokes, and watching musicals that transported them to places filled with joy. Kyle fondly recalls the pure delight of jumping in puddles while watching "Singing in the Rain," a testament to Susan's playful nature and ability to find joy in the little things.

Guided by a servant's heart, Susan was deeply involved in her ministry, leading her life with loyalty and selflessness. Whether volunteering at Helping Hands food pantry or working with Be-a-Blessing to support the needs of her community, her faith shone brightly, illuminating the lives of those around her. Her laughter was contagious, her spirit infectious, and her hands always open to help.

Susan had a remarkable gift for crafting and creativity, often found painting rocks with Gareth or passionately creating beautiful jewelry. Her artistic side was matched only by her devotion to family, which included her loving mother, Shirley Bishop, siblings Sally Moffit, Rick (Linda) Neeley, John (Rusty) Neeley, Donna (Rob) Rupp, Donald (Terra) Neeley, Bill Sellers, and a constellation of nieces, nephews, and other relatives who adored her.

While her physical presence will be missed, the legacy she leaves behind is one of love, laughter, and a deep-rooted faith in God. She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Kyle (Jordan) Needham and Gareth Needham, who carry the lessons of compassion and culinary skills passed down from their remarkable mother.

Susan's journey through life has been beautifully punctuated by both joy and sorrow, as she joins those she has loved who now reside in heaven—her father, Reverend Clarence R. Neeley; her husband, Phillip Mark Needham; her sibling, Cathy Sellers; and her niece, Daylie Chapman. Together, they will forever remain a part of her story, woven together in a tapestry of love and remembrance.

As the sun sets on her life, a memorial gathering will be held on May 25, 2025, at The Summit Church in Hernando, Mississippi, where friends and family will come together to celebrate the vibrant spirit of Susan V. Needham—a beacon of faith, love, and laughter whose light will forever shine in our hearts.
