Thomas Keith Owens, known to many simply as Keith, passed away on April 26, 2026, in Southaven, Mississippi, after battling an undiagnosed illness. Born on July 9, 1965, in Memphis, Tennessee, Keith lived a life marked by his curiosity, wit, and deep passions.

Keith's career journey took him first into the printing industry before he transitioned to work in corrections in Texas. Throughout his working years, he was recognized for his extensive knowledge across many fields, a source of pride for him and a wellspring for engaging debates. Keith loved to challenge others, always teasing and seeking reactions in good spirit. His personality was underscored by a keen intellect and an eagerness to dive into serious conversations and listen to music.

Outside of his professional and social pursuits, Keith was a devoted fan of wrestling and held a special place in his heart for the Alabama Crimson Tide, often expressing his affection with the phrase "Roll Tide." His affection extended to his beloved little dog Lizzie. Keith is survived by his mother, Fredna Owens, and his sister Stacey Abraham, Ex- Brother-in-law Chris Abraham, along with his half-sister Tasha (Jonathan) Fair. He also leaves behind a loving group of nieces and nephews including Rachel (Perry) Johnson and J C Abraham (Ashley), as well as great-nieces Lynlee, Lowry, Lily, Laurel, and Stella, and a great-nephew Sterling. His extended family includes a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who will remember his spirited personality and vast knowledge. He was preceded in death by his father, Durley Wayne Owens.

The community is invited to honor Keith’s memory with a visitation on May 2, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, located at 290 Goodman Rd E, Southaven, MS 38671. This will be followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m., and burial at 12:00 p.m. at the same location.

Keith’s life was a tapestry of intellect. He will be remembered for his ability to engage those around him in a debate, his love for music and entertainment.
