Born on October 18, 1932, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, Tony lived a life marked by dedication, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to his loved ones.
Tony's legacy is one of devotion and integrity. He was a great salesman—a people person who truly never met a stranger. His natural ability to connect with others was evident in the warmth he exuded and the friendships he fostered throughout his life. He had a jovial spirit that brightened any gathering, and many will fondly remember him for his award-winning pancakes. Each morning, he made breakfast a cherished family tradition, taking pride in cooking for those he loved. It was in these simple yet profound moments of togetherness where his warmth shone through the most.
His career was marked not just by success as a salesman, but by his unwavering honesty and ethical standards, which he instilled in his children and grandchildren. Tony was deeply committed to his family, always making time for them and showing immense support. He took pride in being a caregiver for his wife, Pat, during her illness, exemplifying his loyalty and the depth of his love.
Tony proudly served his country, drafted into the Korean War, and his honorable service exemplified his sense of duty and patriotism. A jack of all trades, he possessed a remarkable talent for fixing everything from cars to bikes, earning him the affectionate title of "Mr. Fix-It." His love for reading the newspaper kept him informed and engaged with the world around him, while his hobbies included bird watching and exploring the beauty of nature through walks and hikes.
Tony’s life was rich with accomplishments, but his proudest moments were undoubtedly tied to his children—Stacy Sinquefield, Michael Floyd, Greg (Aimee) Floyd, and Eric (Jeanne) Floyd—his grandchildren, Robert, Alex, Blake, Kaitlyn, and Kassidy, and his great-grandchildren, Arlo and Luah. He cherished each one deeply, reveling in their milestones and nurturing their growth, knowing they were the true extension of his legacy.
He is survived by his brother, Bill Floyd, and a host of family and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts. Tony joins his beloved wife, Pat, his sister, Norma Lee Tarlton, and his parents, Buck and Viola Floyd, in eternal peace.
