Vernon C. Carmichael, 89, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019 in Memphis, Tennessee. Family will be receiving friends on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home (290 Goodman Road East Southaven, MS 38671) with a service immediately following. Interment will be held at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens. Twin Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Vernon was born on September 24, 1930 in Georgia. One of her most favorite hobbies was to read. Most of all Vernon loved her family. She cherished all the memories made with her family and she will be truly missed.

Ms Vernon Carmichael is survived by her children, Cathie (Bobby) Howell, Deborah Plemmons, Alice (Angus) Causey-Carmichael, Steve (Mary) Carmichael, Lou (Sherry) Carmichael; grandchildren, Bobbie Kay Nance, Robby Plemmons, Michelle Moorehead, Amanda Rucienski, Allyson Ashlock, Tori Carter, Scott Barton and Drew Carmichael; great-grandchildren, Marie and Kora Tamboli, Austin Stancil, Faith and Travis Nance, Hattye and Hudson Plemmons, Aden, Amber, and Alex Ashlock, Belle Ann and Micah Carter; great-great- grandchildren, Beckam and Brooks Farve; siblings, Rosa Jenkins, Marvin Lee, Kenny Lee, and Sandra Dixon; sister in law, Jean Amerson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Ms Carmichael is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Lewie Sibert Carmichael; parents, Jon Everett and Sallie Lee; 10 siblings; and grandson, Chris Carmichael.
