William Harrison Mace lll, 56 of Memphis, TN passed on unexpectedly to a new life with no more pain and suffering earlier this month. Family will be receiving friends on Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a service immediately following at 1:00 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home (290 Goodman Road East Southaven, MS). Twin Oaks is in charge of arrangements.
He was born to William JR (Bill) and Margaret Mace on December 11, 1963. William lll was also known as Little Bill. Little Bill was born in Davenport, Iowa and moved to Memphis, TN in 1971. He had a lot of friends in The Neighborhood, (Oakville) and was loved by many there.
In his younger years, he worked with his father at Tri-State Fence Company. He also worked at Memphis Imports and Medic Ambulance. He later became a professional truck driver for Auto Zone, M S Carriers and American Freightways, which was evolved into FedEx Freight.
He was a member of Idelwild Presbyterian Church on Union Ave in Memphis, TN. Little Bill had a great passion for music and found immense joy in writing and recording it. He loved spending time with family and friends and loved his nieces and nephews very much. In 2000, he had a liver transplant resulting in various health issues that followed.
Little Bill is survived by his mother and father William JR (Bill) and Margaret Mace of Southaven, MS. Brother, Mike Mace of Memphis, TN. Two sisters, Cindy Lance of Southaven, MS and Maria Lard of Tyronza, AR. Little Bill had 14 nieces and nephews.
