William Orlando “Spoon” Witherspoon IV

William Orlando “Spoon” Witherspoon IV, age 85, of Olive Branch, MS passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Baptist DeSoto Hospital in Southaven. He was born on July 26, 1938 to the late William Orlando Witherspoon III and Clemmie Elizabeth (Brooks) Witherspoon in Columbia, TN.
Spoon had worked at Lehman Roberts up to the age of 84. He loved waking up and going there to see all of his friends. He was always a hard worker. He loved to shoot his bow and was a champion archer. He loved to go fishing and watch Ole Miss football. He loved spending time with his family and friends, which he had many, and never knew a man who talked on his phone as much as him.
Spoon is survived by his sister, Sarah Ann Chandler.
Spoon will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Leigh Ann Favazza and Linda Sanders and her husband Terry Sanders, grandchildren Jessica McCrary (Zach), Nicole Sanders, Tana Minor (Michael), and D’shea Favazza, great-grandchildren Keely Taylor, Braxton Laswell, Jamison Taylor, Laryssa Laswell, Danielle Minor, Jerimiah Favazza, Zoe Favazza, Taylor McCrary, Cameron Favazza, Michael Minor Jr., and Sebastian McCrary, and his only great-great-grandchild Karter Ellington, and let’s not forget his cat, Ziggy.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 12:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 pm.
