No Name

October 20, 1952 — October 10, 2020

Heaven has gained a brand new angel. Shirley Ann DeShouten, of Horn Lake, MS, passed away at Baptist Desoto Hospital on October 10th 2020 after a 3 year battle with (non Alcohol) Cirrhosis of the liver. She was 67 years old.

Shirley was the loving wife of predeceased husband of 25 years, Jon DeShouten who passed away on November 25th 2010. Shirley was also a loving and compassionate mother and will be deeply missed by her children, Andre McDaniel, Kristin McDaniel, Melissa DeShouten. Grandchildren, T’ondre McDaniel, Preston Washington, Analese McDaniel, Camden Justice. Sister, Linda Patrick. Mother, Betty Chandler.

Shirley was described as A Beautiful Soul. She was selfless and always gave more than what she could. Always there for her kids and grandkids and everyone for that matter, she was never judgemental, only helpful and supportive. She donated to St Jude and The ASPCA for animal shelters every month. She took care of so many people in her life. She loved her grandchildren more than anything. She always said their hugs are what keeps her going. And can’t forget her dogs, Pepper, Nevaeh and Oreo. They were her babies. She loved and treated them like her children. Shirley was the strongest and most fearless person. Even on her worst days you would never know cause she pulled through so bravely. She never gave up on her faith and never gave up on God and just did so much praying for everyone else. She absolutely loved going to shop at Goodwill stores, she also enjoyed cooking, she could throw anything together and make it a great meal. She enjoyed watching food network, Lifetime movies, Law shows, Family Fued and Halloween was her favorite holiday.

Her wish was a cremation and for her ashes to be spread with Jon DeShouten’s ashes, that will be honored and done at a

later time.

Mom, There is nothing more we could have asked for in such a hard time as this, then for Jesus to take your hand and walk you up to heaven, and he did just that! And we know your happy and takin care of now and forever, and during this rough season, knowing that, brings Joy to our hearts.

Enjoy your brand new heavenly body mama. We love you and miss you everyday.
