Bobby Joe Taylor, 63, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021 peacefully in his home in Horn Lake, Mississippi. Family will be receiving friends on Monday, June 14, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home (290 Goodman Road East Southaven, MS 38671). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 starting at 11:00 a.m. at Payne Cemetery in Tupelo, MS (CR 1439). Bro. William Whitmon will be officiating the graveside service.

Bobby was born on April 20, 1958 in Tupelo, MS. For most of Bobby’s life he proudly served his community as a funeral director and embalmer helping families during their most difficult times. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Southaven, MS. Most of all Bobby loved and cherished his family especially his grandchildren and great- grands. Bobby will always be remembered and will truly be missed.

He is survived by his children, Amy Chapman (Lance), Brandy Taylor, Chelsea Taylor (Mark); grandchildren, Cody Chapman, Jordan Chapman, Anthony Chapman, Brittany Vega (Zach), Olivia Gilbreath, Brooklyn Gilbreath, Landon Brassfield, Ally Brassfield, Kayleigh Furniss, Braylyn Darling, Leah Brassfield; great-grandchildren; Isabel Chapman and Lily Vega; siblings, Jewel Reeves (Robert), Danny Stevenson (Sherry), Ricky Stevenson (Sherry), Jon Mark Taylor (Jamie), Susan Whitmon (William), Renita Brown (Robert); the love of his life, Faye Sexton; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Billy Taylor and Mittie “Nubbin” Shattles; step- father, Ramond Shattles; and brother, James Ralph Stevenson.
Family will be receiving friends on Monday, June 14, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home (290 Goodman Road East Southaven, MS 38671). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 starting at 11:00 a.m. at Payne Cemetery in Tupelo, MS (CR 1439).
