Ashley Marie Brannon
, 29, was born August 3, 1987 in Memphis, TN to the deeply committed and loving parents of Joe and Tina Brannon. On January 21, 2017 she was received by the Lord and the pain of this earth was washed away. Like her father, Ashley was gifted with a powerful personality that excited people and like her mother, a beautiful infectious smile that lit up a room and softened your heart.
While we do not comprehend His will, we have comfort in what God’s Word teaches inRomans 10:9-10 “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 1 Thessalonians 5:14-18 “For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus comes, God will bring back with Jesus all the Christians who have died. I can tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not rise to meet him ahead of those who are in their graves. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the call of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First all the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with them forever. So comfort and encourage each other with these words.”
She is survived by her daughter, Tamara Brannon of Lake Cormorant; parents, Joe and Tina Brannon of Lake Cormorant; brother, Joe F. Brannon III and his wife, Brandi of Nashville, TN; grandparents, Joe and Carol Brannon of Southaven, MS, Mary Ruth Phillips of Shreveport, LA, and Ed and Judy Tardiff of Vermont; Aunts, Mary Love of Lake Cormorant, Vicky Rouse of Shreveport, and Teresa Brannon of Shreveport, LA; Uncles, John Tardiff of Canada and Ed Tardiff of Vermont; and many loving cousins and other family members. She was preceded in death by her Uncles, Chris Brannon and Bubba Marcus; Aunt, Patricia Ann Ward. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 25th from 2 p.m. until the service begins at
3 p.m.
at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven. Burial will follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Southaven. The family requests that any memorials be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 6001 Goodman Rd., Walls, MS 38680.
