Betty Jean Wright

February 28, 1946 — June 27, 2021

On June 27, 2021, Betty Jean Wright, 75, passed away with her family by her side  after a short illness. Betty was born in Greenville, Mississippi. She leaves behind  her Son, Les Wright; two Grandchildren, Kaylee and Garrett Wright; Brother,  David Berry; Cousin, Brenda Cummins (Billy); Niece, Karen Hollis (Doug); Nephew,  David Wright (Tammy); and Sister-In-Law Helen Wright (Ralph).

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Wright, and parents, David  Chapman Berry and Annette Hays Berry.

Family was everything to Betty. Her family fondly knew her as Mia. She made  each member of her family feel treasured. Betty also loved fellowshipping with  her friends and going to Church.

Betty was known for her strong faith in God and her faith sustained her. She  trusted in God with all her heart and He always provided for her. Betty had a  true servant’s heart. Her favorite Bible verse was Psalm 23.

Family will be receiving friends on Thursday, July 1, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Baptist  Church (6001 Goodman Road Walls, Mississippi, 38680). Her final resting place will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens (711 Highway 82 East Greenville, Mississippi,  38701).

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be sent in her name to the  Lupus Foundation or Joy Outreach Ministries. Joy Outreach Ministries ministers to  nursing home residents as most have little to no visitors.
Family will be receiving friends on Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church (6001 Goodman Road Walls, MS 38680). Interment will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens (711 Hwy 82 East Greenville, MS 38701).
