Billy Gene Counce, 83, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on Wednesday, June 16, 2021. A committal service will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 starting at 9:00 a.m. inside the rotunda at West Tennessee State Veteran Cemetery in Memphis, TN.
Billy was born on August 11, 1937 in Henderson, Tennessee. For most of his life he was a salesman. He was a proud army veteran and will have the honor to be laid to rest at the Veteran Cemetery in Memphis, TN. He was such a funny loving man. Billy will be truly missed and remembered by the wonderful husband, father, and grandfather that he was.
He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Melissa Counce; children, Martha Kelly, James Counce (Karla), and Bobby Counce; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Earnest Eugene and Fredna E. Counce; one sister, and one brother.
