Brenda Sing Ray

Mrs. Brenda Sing Ray, 61, of Hernando, MS, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto, located in Southaven, MS. She worked at Wells Lamont for twenty-five years. Mrs. Ray enjoyed spending her time tending to her home and flower gardens. She possessed quite the green thumb and couldn’t pick a favorite flower because she loved them all. She adored her cats and loved her nieces and nephews beyond measure. She was strong willed, but overall an amazing wife and person. Mrs. Ray’s memory will continue to be cherished by her family and friends she made memories with.

Mrs. Ray leaves behind her loving husband of fifteen years, Jerry Edward Ray of Hernando, MS; one step-daughter, Julie Turpin (Tyler) of Spooner, WI; two sisters, Shirley A. Bloodgood (Charles) of Hernando and Ruby Cianciolo (Joe) of Southaven, MS; one grandson, Grayson Turpin of Spooner; six nieces, Kathy Fiveash of Hernando, Leigha Cianciolo of Nashville, TN, Stacey Williams (Robbie) of Nesbit, MS, Kellie Smith of Memphis, TN, Tarina Williams (Mark) of Fort Smith, AR, Shelia Joyner (Glen) of Olive Branch, MS; three nephews, Andy Cianciolo of Southaven, Kevin Michael Smith of Memphis, and Rande Smith (Norma) of Clarksville AR; one great-niece, Kayleigh Fiveash of Southaven. She also leaves behind a host of other nieces, nephews, and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Lee and Arsulia C. Sing; four brothers, Ferrell Smith, Olen “Buddy” Smith, Glendell Tate Smith, and Harold “Buster” Smith.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2018, from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home (290 Goodman Rd E; Southaven, MS 38671). A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 26, 2018 beginning at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel at Twin Oaks Funeral Home. Interment will be at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens. Pastor Warren will officiate.
