Cathryn (Cathy) Marie Cowan, 58, of Olive Branch, Mississippi passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019 in Olive Branch, MS. Twin Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangement.
Cathy was born on October 9, 1961 in Modesto, California. She was a nurse practitioner; she dedicated her life to saving others. She has brought lives into the world as a delivery room nurse and worked for the VA. She also created an organization that took in veteran women to care for them. Cathy was an active member of 4-H and FFA. She had a deep love of horses and most animals. Most of all Cathy loved her children. She will be truly missed by those close to her.
Cathy leaves cherished memories to her three children, Janette McCracken; Ross (Hailey) Cowan; Kristen (Clay) Cooper; She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren; Cayden, Briana, Ryan, Kailey, Heidi, Piper, Gerry, Aaron, Garrett, Robert, Emmalynn; As well as her fiancé, Tom Scott; parents, Stan and Ellen Males; sister, Midge (Carl) Baker; 3 nephews, Brandon, Justin, and Michael Baker. As well as her two fur babies; Remy and Karma.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marissa Cowan; and husband of 13 years, Gerry Cowan.

Keely, Keith, Konnor, family members and I were all very devastated & heartbroken when we learned of Cathy’s surgery and passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this sad time.
I will always remember Cathy with such fond and loving memories and the many fun times spent with you all during our time together. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to know and love her. She leaves behind a wonderful family, and I know you will all be a great source of comfort and support to one another. May God’s peace be with all of you.
